I know you don’t read blog posts. But I don’t care. YOU MUST LOOK AT THIS ONE!! These are some of the most epic photos you’ll ever see. And I’m not saying that to boast. I’m saying that because the mountains showed off for us on this July morning, like I have never ever seen in all my hiking career ever. The clouds, the moodiness, the peaks, the light. Everything. Perfection. If you’re considering doing your hiking elopement in Kananaskis, this is your sign. Seriously.
Waking up at 2am is not fun, we all know that. But once you get past the wake up and get out hiking, the tiredness is pretty well gone. There’s nothing quite so thrilling as hiking in the dark with headlamps, and then seeing the first light of dawn start to hit the sky above the peaks. As we continued up the mountain, the clouds hung onto the peaks as if to wait for us to reach our goal. Alyssa and Sebastian changed into their wedding attire, and we started to take photos. The sky behind us filled with hues of pink as the sun started to rise. Birds started to chirp as they awoke from the night.
As we neared the summit, there was hardly a breath of wind. But somehow the clouds came and went, swirling and drifting through the valleys below. The beauty of the majestic peaks in the distance was magnified by the lingering clouds. I could not stop exclaiming in awe at what we saw before our eyes. I have never seen anything like it. These hiking elopement photos are some of the most epic I’ve ever taken, and quickened my passion for my work even deeper than it already is.
I’m just going to say it – start planning your hiking elopement in Kananaskis now! And bring me along as your photographer ;). I’ll make sure we get some epicness! Haha.
