If you know anything about me, you will know that the thing that lights my passion on fire is photographing couples. Especially couples who are SUPER in love and can’t get enough of each other. Hehe. And on top of that, when the session is at golden hour, like this couple’s session in Edmonton, it is even 1000x better!
“WOW, this is BEYOND incredible!”
“Oh my goodness the light!! What on earth I am obsessed with this!! I can’t believe this light!” I literally kept repeating those phrases over and over again during this session. Because, let me tell you, it WAS all of those things! So here’s my reminder to you, to please book your session at golden hour. Golden hour starts about 1.5 to 2 hours before sunset. If it’s cloudy, there won’t be much of a golden glow. But partly cloudy or no clouds, then that time before sunset is absolutely stunning for photos.
Also, Damon and Danika were literally DREAM clients. Like, you know how sometimes couples are just SO good at following direction, that they hardly need any direction? Ya, that was these two. So if you need some tips on how to interact in a photo session, just ask them ;). Ha, sorta kidding. I direct my couples using prompts, rather than poses, so it results in a lot of movement. The more movement the better, even for somewhat static positions. I find that completely eliminates the awkwardness, brings out true emotion, and relaxes the couple completely.
If this sounds up your alley, I’d literally LOVE to photograph your couple’s session in Edmonton (or anywhere for that matter, haha!). I can guarantee a LOT of laughing, and a little bit of cardio.
