Vicky and Ryan booked me for an adventure session in their wedding attire on their one year anniversary. If you ask me, that’s a great way to get some sunrise elopement photos if you had a bigger wedding originally! This was their first ever sunrise hike, and they were so in awe of the beauty of the mountains at that time of day. There is nothing that quite compares! We started the hike about 4am. Headlamps are necessary for the beginning of sunrise hikes, but usually not required for very long, depending on the length of hike.

Wasootch Ridge has about 7 peaks, and is up and down the whole way to the summit. However, the great thing about it is that the first peak has great views. So if you’re just wanting to do a short hike with pretty decent views, it’s a great option. If you wanted to continue on for more photos, that’s an option too! Once at the first peak, there are beautiful views back down the valley where the hwy snakes through the mountains.

When we arrived at the first peak, we could see the first light coming over the peaks to the east. Vicky touched up her makeup, and they changed into their wedding attire. We had fun running around like mountain goats taking photos on this beautiful morning. After spending a couple of hours taking photos, we headed back down !
