You will NOT want to skip scrolling through the photos from this stunning intimate Saskatoon micro wedding at Glass and Lumber (the coolest, retro-rustic venue, definitely check them out if you’re wanting to get married in Saskatoon!).
Remember that proposal I photographed back in February, out in Nordegg? If not, check out that story here first, then you’ll understand the context. In short, Irina is from Switzerland, so her and Curt spent most of their dating time apart (thanks, covid). Needless to say, they are more than stoked to finally be together forever.
Have any of you planned a wedding during covid?
Have any of you not been able to have your family present? How about missing your closest friends? Well, Irina’s family lives in Switzerland, so they were unable to attend the Saskatoon wedding in person (soooo hard, am I right?). I can’t imagine not being there for your own daughter’s wedding, not being able to walk her down the aisle, and not being able to witness such a huge moment in her life.
Well, thanks to technology these days, Curt and Irina and a few others were able to set up a video so Irina’s family could see the whole ceremony and reception! Not only that, they also managed to project a video of her family onto the wall at the venue so we could all see them too! During Irina’s getting ready time, her mom was able to be present via Facetime. It really was special and a perfect way to make the best of an otherwise difficult situation.
I’ve known Curt for about 8 years, and to see him so joyfully married makes my heart happy. These two were the sweetest to work with. It was extra special to be a part of their day. They are planning another wedding over in Switzerland for her family, once the world opens up for travel again. Enjoy a little sample of this beautiful Saskatoon micro wedding at Glass and Lumber! (Oh, and we had to hit up some open spaces outdoors for a few too!!)
